For most businesses, a standard merchant account is the right fit. Fast approval, competitive interchange-plus pricing, and access to major card networks. We handle ecommerce, retail, and service businesses with the same reliability we bring to more complex accounts.

MOTO Processing

Process payments by phone or mail without the customer present. Ideal for call centers, order fulfillment, and service businesses.

Specialty Accounts

Industries that standard processors decline by default are our specialty. We review your business model, not just your industry code.

Interchange Plus Pricing

No Setup Fees

No application fee, no setup fee, no annual fee. You pay only for what you process.

Types of Merchant Accounts

A merchant account is the agreement between your business, a payment processor, and an acquiring bank that allows you to accept credit and debit card payments. The type of account you need depends on how you sell, what you sell, and your business history.

Standard Merchant Accounts

Standard merchant accounts are for businesses with straightforward sales models, low chargeback rates, and no industry restrictions. Ecommerce, retail, professional services, and most B2B businesses qualify for standard accounts.

Standard accounts typically offer the most competitive base rates. Approval is usually completed within one business day.

Specialty Merchant Accounts

Specialty merchant accounts are for businesses in industries that standard processors decline or restrict. These accounts require more thorough underwriting and may include reserve requirements, but they give specialty businesses stable, long-term processing relationships.

Industries we commonly approve for specialty accounts include nutraceuticals, iGaming, subscription billing, travel, financial services, and age-verified content.

MOTO Merchant Accounts

MOTO (mail order, telephone order) accounts allow businesses to process payments without the customer or their card physically present. This is required for call centers, catalog sales, and any business that collects payment over the phone.

MOTO transactions carry different liability rules than card-present transactions. Our underwriting team structures MOTO accounts with the right fraud tools and processing rules for card-not-present environments.

How to Choose the Right Account Type

The right account type is determined by how you accept payments and what you sell. A few questions that guide the decision:

  • Do customers pay in person, online, or over the phone?
  • Is your industry flagged or restricted by major card networks?
  • Do you have prior processing history, and what does it show?
  • Do you bill customers on a recurring basis?
  • Do you sell physical goods, digital products, or services?

If you are unsure which account type applies, our team can advise before you apply. There is no cost to get a preliminary assessment.

What to Expect After Approval

Once your merchant account is approved, you will be assigned a dedicated account manager. They will handle gateway setup, walk you through your pricing structure, and answer any compliance questions specific to your account type.

Processing typically begins within one to two business days of approval. For specialty accounts, additional compliance steps may add a small amount of time to go-live, but your account manager will keep you informed throughout.
