Visa recently announced in a newsletter that they are updating the Visa brand guidelines in the near future.

So, what does this mean for those in eCommerce? It means that all businesses will need to comply with Visa’s guidelines to stay fully compliant.

Visa’s campaign is being led by Wieden & Kennedy for the first time. With the brand guidelines, Visa is aiming to show how they help merchants globally by saying, “everyone, everywhere.” “Meet Visa” is the slogan that is sure to be heard in commercials and advertisements.

When Is The Deadline?

Visa has announced the logos will need to be updated across all business’s online checkout locations by 31 August 2021.

We strongly advise you to adhere to guidelines to stay compliant with Visa. You can visit Visa’s brand guidelines here for additional information.

The New Visa Logos

The following are the newly branded logos that will be required for all online checkout locations. Below you will find the new Visa logo design in its traditional blue and white. There are three new colors in total: black, white, and blue.

Executive vice-president, Lynne Biggar had this to say at Visa:

“People think they ‘know’ Visa. Consumers and businesses trust the power of those four letters and see it when they open their wallet, pay a vendor, walk into a store or check out online. What they don’t see is how those four letters operate the most dynamic network of people, partnerships and products.”
